R.S.V.P.

The scent of orange blossoms is not all that is wafting through the air at Creative Breathing. The unmistakeable stirrings of True Love can be heard among the characters that inhabit the shelves of my beloved craft room.

It seems everyone is a twitter in preparation of the "I Do's" that will soon take place. Even out-of-towners have "flown" in for the big event.

The bridesmaid are waiting in step with one another.

The Best Man is dapper in his coat and tails.

The Best Man receives encouraging last words.

The bridal party pose for their memories to come. It seems the bride's "I Do" has made this a joyous day for everyone!

Strawberry Days

Hometown memories flood my heart with the coming of spring's longer days. The air scented with clover and daffodils, sidewalk cement under the feet, barefoot with hope of school days ending soon.

Sun warm on the skin, yellow in the sky. Friends gathering for the Strawberry Parade.

Handlebar streamers and bicycle spoke crepe. Pinwheels and red, white and blue, sash wearing ribbon waves.

Prizes awarded, back slap congratulations, children running in sight of blanket watchful mothers.

I will always remember these Days of My Youth and the pattern of it's simple pleasures.

The burst of red berries and always wanting more. The longing for Strawberry Days never to end.

Who's In Charge?

 
Every holiday celebrated in my craft room has a Master of Ceremonies. A character larger than life to direct activities leading up to the "Big Day".

There are invitations to be handed out, banners to be hung and decorations to be displayed.

They take their holiday preparations very seriously!

After all, an Egg Hunt is very important business when your name is Easter Bunny.

What a day, what a celebration! I'm told fun was had by all.

Wearing of the Green

A Side By Side holiday if ever there was one, St. Patrick's Day  comes just as Valentine's Day is still a sweet thought not ready to put away. The wearing of Green for a hoped for kiss is definitely on the mind of this cute as can be Snornament.

An Irish lassie or two have perhaps caught his eye. Their tag along bunnies a reminder Easter is soon to follow.

But in the meantime, it is all about the Wearing of the Green!

Valentine Elves

Elves finished with their Christmas duties now turn their attention to all things red and pink.

There are school Valentines to share.

Paper hearts to deliver, sealed with a kiss.

Delivered by a mailman cute as can be.

There is such a lot to do in time for the big V Day. Thank goodness for Valentine Elves!

An invitation is always required to attend one of the many holiday parties the creations of my craft room seem always to be planning.

It seems the invitations to this Valentine Party are in the form of Sentiments of the Heart.

Whether expressed shyly, or sweetly, or bold as can be.

The expression of Love is what's important because,

You may never know when it will be returned in kind!

Something's Afoot!

Holiday revelers tucked away for the year, quite stillness greets my ears. An invitation found on my craft room desk,

Whisperings reaching my ears.

Oh no! It couldn't be! Another party so soon?

Red striped socks and pointed shoes? Mushrooms found among my buttons?

Cute as can be gals,

Handsome as can be Gnomes,

Friends with friends with more friends. Where have they all come from?

You know what they say. If you can beat them,
